Manville Democratic Club Announces 2025 Candidates

Manville -- The Manville Democratic Club is proud to announce Christopher Basista and Stefanie Pfoutz Sanchez will be the 2025 Democratic candidates for Borough Council.

"Chris and Stefanie will bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and fresh perspectives to Borough Council. I am confident their passion and work ethic will lead to positive changes and a stronger future for all residents of Manville," said Chairwoman Roberta G. Walters.

Christopher Basista is a lifelong resident, an entrepreneur and small business owner. A graduate of Manville High School and DeVry University, majoring in Network & Communications Management, Chris also holds an MBA with a concentration in telecommunications from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Chris' entrepreneurial spirit is reflected in his diverse business ventures. At the age of fifteen, he started his first online marketing business, which is still in operation today. He also owns an online radio station and an e-commerce business. These ventures not only showcase Chris' business acumen but also his commitment to fostering a thriving local economy.

In 2024, Chris established Manville.Today, an online news organization that serves as the one-stop resource for news and information about what's happening at Borough Hall with Manville's Mayor and Council. He developed the idea after witnessing the low turnout of attendees at the monthly Council meetings, but hearing from residents that they wanted to be educated on what was happening in a way that worked for them and their busy schedules.

Chris is focused on sustainable development, tax fairness, and fostering a vibrant community. He will focus on transparency and accountability driven by his deep understanding of the economic and social challenges our residents face daily. With a fresh perspective and a results-driven approach, Chris is poised to bring about positive change and ensure a stronger future for all residents of Manville.

Stefanie Pfoutz Sanchez is a third-generation resident of Manville, deeply rooted in the community as the daughter of Sharon and David Pfoutz and the granddaughter of Chester A. and Stella Raczkowski. A proud graduate of Manville High School, Stefanie was honored to serve as valedictorian of the Class of 2001.

Currently working as an instructional design consultant, Stefanie specializes in developing virtual learning modules for clients across the country. Her role has equipped her with valuable skills in research, communication, creative problem-solving, and collaboration. These skills will be vital as she seeks to serve Manville as its newest Councilperson, bringing fresh perspectives and a problem-solving mindset to the Borough Council.

Outside of her professional life, Stefanie is passionate about animals and is a proud owner of two rescue cats, Q and T. She is also a voiceover artist and is excited to release her demo later this year.

Stefanie is committed to bringing a thoughtful, community-centered approach to the Borough Council. Her dedication to her hometown, coupled with her diverse skill set and love for service, makes her an ideal candidate to represent the best interests of Manville residents.
